The Sealed Air Corporation started producing Bubblewrap in 1960. Since that time the product has continued to evolve and the range now includes many different variations of the original concept.

We concentrate on stocking the popular ranges, small bubble with 9.5mm diameter and large bubble with 20mm diameter. Over the years other sizes have been introduced, usually in an effort to reduce costs, but common sense tells you the smaller the bubble size the more material you have to use to offer the same protection. However, sometimes different sizes are more suitable for different applications, so we can obviously supply the whole range.

Bubble Sizes

Anti Static Bubble Wrap is also available, it’s primarily made in CL grade and is coloured Pink for identification purposes. Other formats can also be made Anti Static, minimum quantities may apply.

Is All Bubble Created Equal?

No, definitely not. Sealed Air Bubble is Barrier Sealed which means it retains air longer than non Barrier Sealed Bubble.

Other Bubble

You can also buy Bubble in sheet form, minimum quantities apply, please ask for details. An alternative is to order Bubble perforated on a roll, so you can tear off individual sheets. If you use a variety of different lengths, our Bubble is ideal as it can be torn straight across the roll in a neat line.

Most popular is standard small Bubble which has replaced CL and due to a revised formulation and Bubble pattern it is now possible to wind the rolls to a smaller diameter. A full lorry load of Aircap E is 280 bundles, as opposed to 170 bundles of Aircap CL. Less deliveries obviously mean a saving in transport costs, a saving for the environment and a saving in valuable storage space.

Aircap Geo

What is AirCap® Geo™?
AirCap® Geo™ is the first degradable barrier sealed bubble packaging material that offers the properties of oxo degradability: making it a positive step forward in using new technology to reduce environmental impact.

AirCap® Geo™ has the same physical properties of standard AirCap® bubble cushioning, and can enter the same recycling stream for up to two years from the date of manufacture, as long as the oxo degradation has not been triggered.

How does it work?
Step one: After 8-12 hours in sunlight, the oxidation process is triggered and the long AirCap® Geo™ molecules are broken down into smaller linked sections.
Step two: These linked sections are then small enough to be attacked and digested by bacteria and fungi in the ground. The material is then broken down to carbon dioxide, water and Biomass.

Aircap Geo is available in both CL and TL variations, CL x 100 metres and TL x 45 metres,

Our stock range of Bubble Bags are easy to seal thanks to the self adhesive strip on the flap, in both standard and Anti Static types. However, plain flaps and special sizes can be made to order, please ask for details.
